Fossar becomes an Investment Bank

Fossar Markets has been granted an operating licence as an investment bank from the Financial Supervisory Authority of the Central Bank of Iceland and will hereafter be named Fossar Investment Bank.

Haraldur Thordarson, CEO of Fossar Investment Bank:
“This is a major milestone for Fossar which now enters a new chapter with more comprehensive role in the financial markets. The new operating licence means we can offer our clients broader financial services, e.g., with increased capacity for lending and providing derivative products in foreign exchange and listed securities. The licence furthermore allows Fossar to offer its clients underwriting services as well as market making in listed financial instruments, including government bonds.”

Fossar Investment Bank will continue to provide clients with excellent services, focusing on capital markets, corporate finance and asset management. The team at Fossar look forward to the continuing cooperation with their clients, now with a broader service offering.
