Brynjar is the CEO of Fossar Investment Bank.
He has over 20 years of experience in senior roles in the financial market, both in Iceland and abroad. His previous positions include serving as Chief Investment Officer at Stapi Pension Fund, Head of Alternative Investments at Íslensk Verðbréf, and Head of Asset Management at Straumur Investment Bank. He also has experience from investment banking and the Debt Finance Division at Straumur-Burðarás Investment Bank. Most recently, Brynjar held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Skagi.
Brynjar holds an MBA degree from Reykjavík University, a BSc in Business Administration from the same university, and is a licensed securities broker.
Adrian Sabido is the Managing Director of Capital Markets.
Adrian has over 15 years experience in the financial industry. Before joining Fossar Investment Bank Adrian worked in Capital Markets at Arctica Finance from 2015 to 2018. Adrian worked at H.F. Verdbref (H.F. Securities) from 2011 to 2015 as Managing Director of Capital Markets. From 2008 to 2009 Adrian worked in Treasury at Icebank.
Adrian holds a B.Sc. degree in Business Administration and is currently working on his MCF degree in Finance from the University of Reykjavik. Adrian is a certified securities broker.
Thordur is the Managing Director of Corporate Finance at Fossar.
Thordur has over 20 years of experience as Managing Director, CFO and advisor in corporate finance and alternative investments both in Iceland and the UK. Before joining Fossar, Thordur served as CFO of the real estate developer Festir, Managing Director of GAMMA Advisory and Director of Corporate Development of the international seafood company Icelandic Group where he was responsible for M&A and group corporate strategy.
Thordur also worked as a corporate finance advisor in London from 2005 to 2012, first at Landsbanki Securities and then later as one of the founding partners of Pensum Partners Limited. He also served as Interim Managing Director of the IT company G.A. Wedderburn in Southampton.
Thordur holds a B.Sc. degree in Business Administration from Reykjavik University and an M.Sc. degree in Finance from Cass Business School in London. Thordur is a certified securities broker in Iceland and holds a certificate in corporate finance from the FCA in the UK.
Robert Gronqvist is the Managing Director of Risk Management at Fossar Investment Bank.
Robert has extensive experience within the finance sector. Before joining Fossar he was a director in Risk Management at Islandsbanki. Prior to that he worked at Danske Bank, where he focused on credit, market and liquidity risk. He has also worked as an interest rate options trader, as a corporate risk management advisor and in treasury asset and liability management at Landsbanki Islands. He is a adjunct lecturer at Reykjavik University, teaching courses on financial derivatives, asset valuation and financial economics.
Robert holds dual B.Sc. degrees in mathematics and economics from the University of Iceland. In addition, he has M.Sc. degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Warwick. Robert is also a certified securities broker.
Heidrun Haraldsdottir is the Chief Financial Officer at Fossar Investment Bank.
Heidrun has over two decades of experience working within the financial industry. Before joining Fossar, she worked as an operational manager of the corporate and investment bank unit of Arion Bank. Before that, she was a data specialist in the planning and analysis division and finance and accounting of Arion Bank.
Heidrun has also worked as a specialist in the finance department of Islandsbanki, as an operation manager at Sena and Financial Manager of Her & Nu advertising agency.
Heidrun holds a B.Sc in Business and M.Sc in Finance from the University of Iceland.
Thorunn Olafsdottir was born in 1988. She has served as General Counsel of Fossar Investment Bank hf. since 2019 and became a member of the bank’s Executive Management Team in 2022. In October 2025, Þórunn assumed the position of Managing Director of Operations and Development and also holds overall responsibility for the bank’s Legal Division.
Before joining Fossar Investment Bank hf., she worked as an attorney in the fields of corporate and tax law. She was an owner and attorney at SKR Legal Services slf., worked as a specialist in the tax and legal department of Deloitte ehf., and as a lawyer at Nordik Legal Services slf. and H.F. Verðbréf hf. Alongside her legal practice, Þórunn has taught tax law at Reykjavík University.
Þórunn holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in law from Reykjavík University and is licensed as a district court attorney.
