Fossar Markets offer Asset Management Services

The FSA issues Fossar Markets an asset management license.

Asset Management is a new addition to Fossar Markets’ services. The company now offers its clients private banking services and portfolio management. The Financial Supervisory Authority of the Central Bank of Iceland (FSA) has issued Fossar with an operating license for asset management for third parties, institutions, companies or individuals. The licenced operations are an addition to Fossar Market’s services. Fossar has now combined the services of Private Banking, Portfolio Management, and Institutional Investors Service in its new Asset Management division.

Fossar Markets’ Asset Management division is located in Næpan, a historical building within walking distance from Fossar’s headquarters in downtown Reykjavik.

Heading Fossar’s Asset Management is Anna Þorbjörg Jónsdóttir, who was previously in charge of Fossar’s services to institutional investors, now part of the company’s Asset Management. She has extensive experience in Icelandic and international financial markets and has been with Fossar Markets since 2016.

“Asset management is an important addition to Fossar markets’ services in the Icelandic financial market. We have emphasised the importance of international asset distribution and offer a diverse range of foreign investment options. By adding asset management, our ability to serve our clients increases significantly, and I am very much looking forward to the task ahead,” says Anna Þorbjörg Jónsdóttir.

“We are constantly working on expanding our product range and bolstering our services. By adding asset management, we meet our clients’ needs, as there have been calls for more extensive service. Fossar markets enjoy a solid reputation and are supported by an experienced group of employees. We welcome this addition of Asset Management and the increased opportunities the FSA’s operating license brings us,” says Haraldur Þórðarson, CEO of Fossar Markets.

The new asset management operating licence was issued to Fossar Markets following FSA’s review of the company’s application. The licence is an addition to other licences issued to Fossar based on the Act on Financial Firms.

Fossar Markets provide a variety of financial services for domestic and international investors, emphasising market trading, corporate consultancy, and asset management. The company is headquartered in Reykjavík. Fossar’s employees are experienced specialists with extensive experience in both domestic and international financial markets.
