Ástrós has over 20 years of experience in the financial sector, primarily in corporate finance, where she has led and participated in numerous significant projects within the Icelandic business community. She also has experience as a CFO and managing director, including having served as CFO of the real estate company Íþaka.
From 2004 to 2013, Ástrós worked at Landsbankinn, initially in company and economic analysis, and later in corporate finance. In 2013, she moved to the corporate finance division of Arion Bank, where she worked until 2021. Ástrós therefore has extensive experience in corporate finance projects and has provided a wide range of advisory services in this field, including for many of the country’s largest companies.
Ástrós holds both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in business administration from Reykjavík University and is a certified securities broker in Iceland.
