Birna Hlin Karadottir hired as Head of Legal
Birna Hlin Karadottir, hdl. joined Fossar Markets as Head of Legal at Fossar Markets in January.
Birna has broad experience working within the financial industry. During the years 2009 until 2015 she was the Head of Legal for Straumur Investment Bank (and its predecessor Straumur-Burdaras Investment Bank). Birna was also on the Management Board of Straumur Investment Bank from 2010 until 2015. Before joining Fossar Markets she was the Head of Legal in the combined entity of Straumur Investment Bank and MP banki. Before 2009 Birna worked in the Legal department of Straumur-Burdaras Investment Bank and in the Private Banking department of Landsbanki Islands where she provided tax advisory.
Birna Hlin holds a cand.jur. degree in law from the University of Iceland and is a District Court Attorney. She is also a certified securities broker.
